The organised camps offer accommodation, catering and a variety of activities like hikes, fishing, nature tours, rock climbing and river rafting. Many offer quality facilities and services.

The Youth Hostel Association, the private sector and Himachal Tourism offer a varied camping experience. Organised camps are available near Shimla, in the Kullu-Manali region, around Narkanda, in Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti as well as in several other places.
