Climate : In Winter, Temperature do get very low and heavy woolens are required. The Summer temperatures can rise upto 30°c and cotton clothing is recommended.

HOW TO REACH / ACCESS / GETTING THERE :
Road : Bharmaur, accessible by road is 69 Km from Chamba along an attractive hill road that follows the river for much of its route. During the yatra days, the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HPRTC) provides special bus services between Chamba and Bharmaur. Chamba is 56-km drive from Dalhousie, which is well linked by road with public and private transport. Bharmaur is situated 80-km away from Dharamsala.
ACCOMMODATIONS :
There is PWD Rest-House and a Lodge for accommodation. A number of hotels, sarais and a mountaineering hut with dormitory facility for 25 persons is coming up at Bharmour.
ADVENTURE TREKS FROM BHARMOUR :
- Bharmaur to Triloknath / Udaipur in Lahul over the Kalicho Pass (4,803m).
- Bharmaur to Udaipur over the Chobia Pass (4,996m).
- Bharmaur to Manali over the Kugti Pass (5,040m).
- Bharmaur to Manimahesh (4,170m).
Note : All these treks are of 5-8 days duration, viable from June to October. A branch of the mountaineering Institute, Manali, at Bharmaur organizes treks and provides information and equipment like tents, sleeping bags etc.
